This year, The European will be hosting a new series of four concerts titled “Thirty Minutes” in collaboration with Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and the nightclub Cookies in Berlin.
Most of us attend much fewer concerts than we would like. There may not be room for it in our busy schedules; or we might lack the motivation to sit down for a two hour concert following an already long day at the office. “Thirty minutes” is going to address this problem: At each concert, a chamber ensemble of Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin will perform both classical and modern compositions for just half an hour. Each concert will be hosted by a well-known personality and take place in the appealing atmosphere of Dayton Bar, a part of the nightclub Cookies. Doors open at 7:30pm, flying dinner is served until 8:30pm, followed by the concert. The event will end at 10:00pm.
The first concert takes place on the 25th of February, the series will continue on May 6th, September 16th and November 4th. The first concert is presented by the German actress and The European columnist Katja Riemann.
We are looking forward to these upcoming events and would like to extend special thanks to both Alexander Steinbeis, director of Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and Cookie, founder of the club bearing his name, for the collaboration.
